DESIGN TECHNOLOGY IN THE PRIMARY SCHOOL

BRIDGE BUILDING SITUATION

A railway modeller requires a bridge for his Hornby "00" gauge layout to span a road or river in a valley below

Design and Construct the model bridge using only 20 Artstraws and a strip of card 60 cms X 5 cms for the deck of the bridge.

Choose a suitable adhesive or use brown sticky tape or sellotape to assemble the bridge.

The sizes of the gap for the bridge to fit into are shown below

Will the bridge be above the line, below the line or a mixture of both?
